Treatment of Neck Pain & Headaches

The treatment of low back pain at Agility Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology is evidence based, in line with guideline based care and multi-modal. We treat disc-related low back pain, low back pain with leg pain, sciatica, muscle tension and tightness, central and lateral recess stenosis, and radicular and radiculopathy nerve pain. 

Cervical disc herniation, protrusion and/or bulging

Neck pain with radiculopathy

Neck pain with radiculopathy is better known as cervical radiculopathy, which is a normal result of degenerative changes such as creased disc height and zygapophyseal joints hypertrophy, is characterised by neck and shoulder pain with a combination of sensory loss or loss of motor function. Neck pain and headache

The most prevalent primary headaches tension-type headache and migraine are frequently associated with neck pain. The frequent co-occurrence of headache and neck pain is attributed to common nociceptive innervation of the head and neck in the dorsal horn C1-2, located in the trigemino-cervical complex. Whiplash associated neck pain

Whiplash-associated disorders are defined as an injury to the neck that occurs with sudden acceleration or deceleration of the head and neck relative to other parts of the body, typically occurring during motor vehicle collisions.

 The majority of adults with traffic injuries report pain in the neck and upper limb pain. Other common symptoms of whiplash associated disorders include headache, stiffness, shoulder and back pain, numbness, dizziness, sleeping difficulties and fatigue. Read more.
